Botulinum toxin injections – against wrinkles and sweating

By moving facial muscles every day – smiling, frowning, squinting in the sun, the skin loses its firmness and wrinkles form, which makes the face look older. Botulinum toxin, or so-called botulinum is injected into the problematic areas to reduce the intensity of facial muscle movements. As a result of botulinum injections, facial muscles move less, therefore wrinkles appear more slowly.

Intramuscular injections of botulinum type A are performed in problematic areas during the procedure. The effect appears within one to two weeks and lasts for about four months (depending on the customer's individual response).

The effect of botulinum injections is the smoothing of dynamic facial wrinkles and "crow's feet".

Botulinum injections to reduce the signs of aging are performed:

  • in the side corners of the eyes;
  • in the horizontal wrinkles of the forehead.

Course duration: botulinum injections are performed on average once every 6 months. The exact number of procedures is determined by a specialist, evaluating each case individually.

Prevention of increased sweating of palms and armpits (hyperhidrosis)

The maximum effect of botulinum injections is observed after two weeks. The effect of the injections lasts for about 6 to 12 months (depending on the patient's individual response). The next injection should be performed no sooner than after three months.

Botulinum injections to reduce increased sweating are performed:

  • in the palms;
  • in the armpits.

Duration of the course: on average 1 procedure in 8 months. The number of procedures is determined by a specialist, evaluating each case individually.

Botulinum injections are not performed if the customer:

  • has hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients;
  • has general disorders of muscle activity;
  • has infection in the injection area;
  • uses medications affecting neuromuscular transmission;
  • is pregnant, breastfeeding;
  • has oncological diseases;
  • has uncontrolled and/or uncompensated systemic diseases.

Botulinum injections against bruxism

Botox injections are also successfully used to treat and prevent bruxism - condition in which a person involuntarily grinds his teeth in his sleep or unconsciously clenching his jaw with force during wakefulness. In other words, bruxism is a grinding of teeth, the consequences of which are absolutelly dental - this can lead to irreversible abrasion of teeth, arthrosis of the temporomandibular joints, periodontitis. To avoid such unfortunate consequences, we advise you to try botox injections for the chewing muscles.

Meanwhile we aware that the effect of the botox injection will not appear immediately, but obly after 3-5 days. Muscle tone will gradually decrease, the muscles will lose volume and the oval of the face will become rounder. The overall effect of botox injection lasts for 6-10 months (depending on the metabolic rate of each patient, this period is very individual), after which you need to repeat the course of botox.
